Summary:
KLA is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, security, and governance of enterprise cloud solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will drive large-scale cloud transformation and modernization initiatives, including cloud migrations, security architecture, infrastructure automation, and DevSecOps adoption. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in multi-cloud environments, cloud security, identity and access management, networking, and cloud-native architectures.
Job Responsibilities:
• Design and architect scalable, highly available, resilient, and secure cloud solutions utilizing AWS, Azure, and GCP services.
• Lead cloud migration initiatives, including rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, and rearchitecting on-premises and legacy workloads.
• Drive cloud modernization programs focused on performance, scalability, operational efficiency, and security improvements.
• Define cloud-native reference architectures, security guardrails, and governance frameworks in collaboration with engineering and security teams.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, availability, cost efficiency, and security hardening.
• Design and implement cloud security architectures, IAM strategies, identity federation, secrets management, and least-privilege access controls.
• Architect secure cloud networking solutions, including VPN, AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and Google Cloud Interconnect.
• Implement network segmentation, micro-segmentation, zero-trust security models, and advanced security controls.
• Secure Kubernetes, containerized, serverless, and microservices-based environments.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure ARM/Bicep templates.
• Design and enhance DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines with integrated security scanning, policy enforcement, and compliance automation.
• Establish cloud observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response integration.
Must Have:
• Strong experience designing and implementing cloud solutions across AWS and Azure (GCP experience preferred).
• Extensive experience with cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Expertise in Cloud Security Architecture, IAM, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or other IaC technologies.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, microservices, and serverless technologies.
• Experience building and securing DevSecOps pipelines and cloud-native platforms.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have:
• Multi-cloud architecture experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust security frameworks.
• Industry certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, CISSP, or CCSP.
• Experience in enterprise-scale cloud governance and compliance programs.
• Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Typically 10+ years of IT Infrastructure, Cloud Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture experience.
• Extensive experience leading cloud migration, modernization, and cloud security initiatives.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale cloud solutions and governance frameworks.
