User Access Management (UAM) Specialist - Chicago, IL - Hiring!

We are hiring our new User Access Management (UAM) Specialist - Onsite position with a Major Insurance Company located in Chicago, IL. This is a 6+ month contract to hire opportunity.

Compensation: $35-$42 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

The UAM Specialist is responsible for end-to-end user access management, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and executing quarterly user access review activities. This role supports the validation, remediation, and documentation of user access controls to ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and security requirements through defined ticket-based activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute activities to complete quarterly User Access Reviews across applications, shared drives, infrastructure, and SharePoint sites

• Follow knowledge base articles and defined processes to perform changes to user access across enterprise systems

• Independently execute and verify deprovisioning activities to mitigate security and audit risk

• Maintain complete and traceable access records within ticketing systems

• Monitor identity and access management tool dashboards for alerts to coordinate resolution

• Analyze access data and processes to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities

• Partner with IT, HR, Security, Governance Risk and Compliance, Service Desk, and application teams to coordinate access management

• Contribute to knowledge base articles, documentation, and process development

Primary Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in Service Desk, User Access Management, or a related role

• Strong judgment and decision-making in access governance and audit impacting scenarios

• Attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Proficiency with access management tools and standard business applications

Desired Skills:

• Experience with ServiceNow

• Experience with SailPoint

• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISA, CISM, COBIT)
