PERMACULTURE FOOD FORESTS

Design a Food Forest that Feeds Itself (and You)
Hi friend,

Imagine walking through a landscape where nearly everything around you is food.
Apples, berries, herbs, nuts, all growing together in layers, each plant supporting the others like a living, resilient system.

That's a food forest, and it's the focus of our Permaculture Food Forests course, now open for enrollment.

You looked into our general Permaculture Design Certificate a while back. This course takes one of permaculture's most rewarding applications and turns it into a focused path you can start anytime.

Students have designed food forests for backyards, schools, businesses, places of worship, apartment complexes, and public spaces, all over the world. Wherever you're starting from, the course gives you the framework to find what works for your place.

Across five modules, you'll learn to:

Identify native and historical food plants suited to your bioregion

Build plant guilds where species support each other instead of competing

Design for pollinators and wildlife while managing pests naturally

Plan realistic yields and maintenance across the full growing year
It's self-paced (30 to 40 hours, on your schedule) and $195.

If you want to go further, an instructor-led Practicum lets you design a food forest for a real site of your choice.
