Four traits I built before trading 📝

Hey there Rnd91,
I was reflecting recently, and so many of the character traits required to be a successful trader had to be developed through other experiences in my life. Here are four main areas.
**Patience**
I was the "leader" of a cross country road trip with two younger buddies who had never been camping, while we lived out of my honda civic back country camping around the country for months. I was constantly waiting for them, and realized early on I would have to eliminate that frustration and embrace working on patience if I were to stay sane.
**Persistence**
That road trip came with tons of mistakes and lessons. Tents blowing away into the river, getting drenched in downpours, pushing through longer distance hikes to make it to our camp site before sun down. Every setback needed to be viewed through a glass-half-full lens.
**Hard Work Ethic**
Working a full season on a full production first year organic farm in Maine taught me a level of hard work I did not know existed. One potato harvest day we woke up before the sun and had to turn on the truck headlights in order to see while we finished up that night, a solid 14 hour day of labor.
**Discipline**
Early Spring on that farm in Maine while there was still snow, I would wake up at 2 AM to go out to the green house and add wood to the stove to ensure our seedlings did not freeze to death while trying to get a jump on the shorter growing season.
None of this had anything to do with the market. I wasn't building a trading skill at 2 AM in a greenhouse, I was trying to keep seedlings alive. But every one of those traits showed up the moment I sat down in front of a chart.
So if you feel stuck right now, the solution might not be on the chart at all. Look at where else you have built these traits, and where you keep avoiding them.
